We are Ype and Marrije, a Dutch couple who settled in this region a year and a half ago. Step by step, we are renovating a former wine farm, Rêve du Sud, with respect for the original details. The name says it all; this is our dream in the South of France. The atmosphere in the house, the gîte and the garden exudes joie de vivre. Here you will find a home away from home.

What brought us here is the space, the varied landscape and the rhythm of French life. The charming village of Brugairolles and its surroundings have a microclimate, making it a pleasant place to stay. The many vineyards, the magnificent sunflower fields and the wonderfully fragrant clary sage in spring create a real French feeling. 

We love simplicity, light, old materials and places where you can feel the peace and quiet. Our philosophy is to enjoy the surroundings, combined with delicious and honest food and drinks. We use fresh local produce if possible, local wines and vegetables, herbs and fruit from the kitchen garden. You are welcome to join us for an aperitif or a homemade meal. This is coming home to France.

There is an atelier / workspace equipped with many materials and tools, wich are available for you to use. In time, workshops in photography, drawing, painting and sculpture will also be offered here.

As hosts, we believe that a sense of freedom is important. We are there when needed, but we also like to give our guests space and privacy. We are happy to share our favourite places and walks in the area.

Our goal is to make everyone feel welcome — without fuss, but with attention.
